- Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts per week
- Weekends and holidays required as the ED operates 24/7
- Travelers may be floated to other departments before core staff when qualified to do soRequirements
- Active Oregon RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- BSN preferred
- Strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and manage high-acuity, diverse patient populations
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, with frequent lifting/carrying of objects up to 25 lbs
- Ability to stand and walk continuously and sustain 12-hour shifts in a high-stress environmentAdditional Information
- Responsibilities include patient triage, assessment, medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, splinting, and emergency response (rapid response and code blue situations)
- Accurately documents patient information and care in the EHR
- Provides patient and family education regarding diagnoses, procedures, and follow-up care
- Works collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff in a fast-paced environment
- Subject to frequent exposure to infection, contagious disease, hazardous materials, and occasionally combative patients
- If the assignment extends beyond 6 months, CRASE training will be required
