ATC West Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified General Cardiologist for a full-time outpatient locum assignment beginning late June/early July for an initial 6+ month commitment. This is a 100% outpatient position with no hospital admissions or procedures, offering a consistent weekday schedule and support from an experienced clinical team. Two providers may be considered if each can cover two weeks per month.
Dates & Schedule
- Start: End of June/Early July
- Duration: 6+ months
- Schedule:
- Monday Thursday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
- Friday: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM
- Full-time, 4 5 days per week
- Two providers may be considered for alternating 2 weeks per month
- Credentialing: days (Foundation privileges only)
Job Details & Responsibilities
- Setting: 100% Outpatient General Cardiology
- Provide comprehensive outpatient cardiology care
- Interventional Cardiologists are welcome to apply but must be willing to practice general cardiology only
- No inpatient responsibilities, admissions, or procedures
- Average 20 patients per day
- EMR: Cerner
- Support staff includes Medical Assistant, Clinic Supervisor, and Registered Nurse
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Board Certified in Cardiology (Board Eligible not accepted)
- Completion of a U.S. or Canadian ACGME/AOA/Royal College-accredited Cardiology fellowship
- Active California medical license required
- Clean malpractice history strongly preferred (dismissed claims only may be considered)
- Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation is required
- Comfortable managing the full scope of outpatient general cardiology without procedural responsibilities
