Job Title: HVAC Technician
Location: Liberty, SC (Onsite)
Schedule: Tuesday - Friday 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Payrate: $33/Hr
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to support the maintenance and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems in a manufacturing and laboratory environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting equipment, performing preventive maintenance, completing repairs, and ensuring critical facility systems remain safe, reliable, and operational.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial and industrial HVAC/R equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, refrigeration, and basic electrical issues on HVAC systems.
- Maintain equipment including air handlers, chillers, boilers, compressors, pumps, refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, environmental chambers, and laboratory equipment.
- Replace motors, bearings, belts, seals, valves, actuators, and other HVAC/R components.
- Install HVAC and refrigeration equipment and accessories according to engineering standards.
- Perform brazing and soldering as needed.
- Use testing and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Order replacement parts and document completed work using a CMMS.
- Follow GMP, EPA, OSHA, and company safety procedures.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with production teams to minimize downtime.
- Support facility maintenance projects and assist with additional mechanical work as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 5 years of commercial or industrial HVAC/Refrigeration maintenance experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for HVAC/R systems.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of HVAC controls and commercial air handling systems.
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- EPA Refrigerant Certification is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
