The Machinist is responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of machinery including CNC machines, manual lathes and mills, and automated robotic equipment. As an individual contributor, the machinist will manage machine setup, quality inspections, and ensure production efficiency while adhering to safety standards. This role involves routine machine maintenance and calibration to produce precise parts according to blueprints.
Responsibilities
- Set up machines for production runs following detailed blueprints
- Operate CNC machines, manual lathes, mills, and robotic equipment efficiently
- Perform quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications
- Conduct routine tool and machine maintenance, including calibration
- Read and interpret technical blueprints and drawings
- Monitor production processes and adjust equipment as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures
- Handle materials and fabricate parts accurately
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in machining
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in CNC operation and blueprint reading
- Knowledge of precision measurement and machine maintenance
- Familiarity with safety procedures and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently with teamwork skills
