- Patient Volume: Manage 10-15 CVICU/step-down patients per day, and handle 1-2 surgeries daily.
- Patient Population: Primarily adult and geriatric patients.
- Department: Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Hospital Bed Size: 199 beds
- EMR System: Cerner
- Special Procedures: Experience in temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, and A-line placement is essential.
- Skills Required: Recent experience in cardiothoracic surgery with proficiency in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH).Requirements:
- Board Certification: Required
- Licensure: Must hold or be eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant in Arizona.
- DEA: Required
- Minimum Experience: 3 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery with expertise in EVH.
- Educational Requirements:
- Graduation from a university program approved by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or a Masters Degree in Nursing.
- Certification or eligibility for certification by the NCCPA.
- For Nurse Practitioners: Completion of an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program, RN/NP First Assistant Program, and current unrestricted Arizona APRN license.
