Construction Mechanics Inc (CMI) is looking for skilled Commercial Electricians to join our team and support our clients ongoing and upcoming job sites.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in commercial buildings
- Run, bend, and install conduit (EMT, RMC, PVC), wire, and cable
- Install and connect panels, switches, breakers, lighting, and control systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs
- Test systems using appropriate tools to ensure safety and compliance
- Collaborate with foremen, project managers, and other trades
- Follow NEC codes, OSHA standards, and company safety procedures
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician (journeyman level preferred)
- Strong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes
- Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and construction plans
- Skilled in conduit bending, pulling wire, and installing fixtures
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders, lifts, and in tight spaces
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- State licensing or certification (if required in your area)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
