About the Role: Haynes Kessler Myers and Postalakis is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join their team in Worthington, OH. Responsibilities: - Assist attorneys with all phases of family law cases including divorce, custody, support, and adoption matters
- Draft and prepare legal documents, pleadings, motions, and correspondence
- Manage and organize case files, deadlines, and court calendars
- Conduct legal research and compile relevant case information
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional manner
- Prepare and file documents with Ohio courts, including e-filing
- Support attorneys during trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness materials
Requirements: - 2+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in family law or domestic relations
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Paralegal certification (CP, FCP, or similar) is a plus
- Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software
- Strong knowledge of Ohio family law procedures and court filing requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
- Compassionate and professional demeanor when working with clients in sensitive situations
