The ideal candidates will provide on-site psychiatric care and consultative services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Evaluate patients and advise on psychiatric treatment. Provide psychiatric assessments based on observations and interactions with the patients. Ensure the evaluations and assessments are clear and concise and convey all pertinent information. Participate in the development of treatment plans and case management. Provide electronic prescriptions for psychotropic drugs for patients as needed. Provide crisis intervention and prescribe pharmaceutical intervention as necessary. Monitoring positive and negative effects of psychotropic medications prescribed.
