Position Summary

Sequoyah Staffing Agency is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) / APRN to provide outpatient primary care services in support of the mission of the Indian Health Service at Pinon Health Center. This opportunity supports a federally operated healthcare facility serving Native American communities in northeastern Arizona.

The provider will work in an outpatient clinical setting delivering comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages, including preventive care, diagnosis, treatment, and chronic disease management.

Work Schedule
  • Monday through Friday

  • 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

  • 40 hours per week

  • No call required (unless requested by facility)

  • Potential for overtime based on patient care needs

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide direct outpatient primary care services for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations

  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses

  • Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies

  • Prescribe medications and treatment plans within scope of practice

  • Provide preventive care, wellness exams, and patient education

  • Document encounters accurately in the electronic health record

  • Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, specialists, and ancillary staff

  • Follow all federal, facility, and Indian Health Service clinical guidelines

Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

  • Current certification as Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or APRN

  • Active, unrestricted U.S. state license

  • Active DEA registration

  • Current BLS certification

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a practicing NP/APRN

  • Ability to work independently in an outpatient setting

Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience with Indian Health Service, tribal, or rural healthcare

  • Experience in underserved community health settings

  • ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
