Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1130-$1210
- Setting: Hospital central receiving and processing lab
- Location: Philadelphia, PA 19104
- Start Date: 7/27/2026
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Duration: 13-week contract

Job Requirements
- 2+ years of Lab Assistant experience required
- Experience working in a hospital, clinical laboratory, or medical laboratory setting preferred
- Strong specimen receiving, accessioning, handling, and processing skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with laboratory and clinical staff
- Strong communication, organizational, and data entry skills
Responsibilities
- Receive, accession, and process laboratory specimens accurately and efficiently
- Support daily operations within the hospital central receiving and processing lab
- Ensure proper labeling, handling, and routing of specimens according to established protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation and data entry related to specimen processing
- Communicate effectively with laboratory personnel regarding specimen status, delays, or issues
- Follow hospital and laboratory policies for safety, quality, and compliance
- Assist in maintaining an organized, efficient, and patient-focused clinical lab environment
