We are seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our well-respected, dynamic program in the city of Bangor, Maine.- Candidates must have at least two years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery or in the cardiovascular ICU
- 4-day work week
- Collaboration with structural heart, critical care, and thoracic oncology
- Daily rounds in the CVICU and stepdown units
- Manage critically ill post-op cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, including hemodynamic interpretation and medication management within the CVICU
- Develop and implement patient management plans independently and in collaboration with surgeons
- Assist surgeons in the O.R. and perform minor procedures at the bedside
- Facilitate length of stay, discharge planning, and compliance with regulatory standards for inpatient management
