Cardiology Nurse Practitioner

M-F 3-4 days calls & a 1:4 weekend call. Hours are variable, but in general. M-F Schedule is mostly , but it is not shift work, some days may go beyond

Setting: Inpatient

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with pre and post operative patient evaluation and treatment

• OR First assist
• Coronary artery bypass and all valve surgeries
• Aortic reconstruction and aortic arch reconstruction
• Robotic assisted thoracic surgeries
• Endoscopic vein harvest
• Open radial artery harvest
• Minimally invasive valves
• VATS and DaVinci Robot Thoracic Procedures
• Thoracic and fore-gut procedures

Cases- 6-8 hearts/week, 9-12 thoracic/week
