Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing primary care team in Columbia, MD. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care across the lifespan, focusing on preventive medicine, health promotion, and the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic medical conditions. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions using evidence-based clinical practices.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with Maryland state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
• Provide preventive care services, annual wellness visits, immunizations, and health screenings.
• Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication management, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle practices.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Foster a welcoming, respectful, and patient-focused clinical environment.

Required Qualifications:
• Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Maryland (or eligibility to obtain prior to employment).
• National Board Certification (FNP, ANP, AGNP, or equivalent).
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to evidence-based medicine and high-quality patient care.

Preferred Qualifications:
• ACLS certification.
• Experience in Primary Care, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, or Community Health.
• Experience managing patients across diverse age groups.
• New graduates with strong clinical rotations in primary care are encouraged to apply.
