A leading health system in Bismarck is looking for a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist to provide essential coverage during a schedule gap. The Opportunity Practice in a dynamic IR environment focused exclusively on procedures, with no diagnostic reading required between cases.
Clinical Scope: Perform a broad range of general IR procedures including diagnostic/therapeutic vascular interventions, biopsies, TIPS, Y90/TACE, and various drainage procedures.
Procedural Volume: Average of procedures during the 8-hour onsite shift.
Team & Support: Work within a specialized IR team using Epic EMR. While neuro-stroke thrombectomy capability is a secondary preference, general IR mastery is the primary requirement.
Schedule: Immediate need for June 26th (8 a.m.) to July 1st (9 p.m.).
Call Details: Average callback is 2.5 hours on weekdays and 1.3 hours on weekends, typically reserved for emergency cases.

Compensation Daily Rate: Competitive pay of $6,000 - $6,200 per day (all hours worked).
Holiday Pay: Daily holiday rates reach $9,000 - $9,300.
Call Pay: 24-hour call rates of $4,200 - $4,800 (includes 4 hours gratis).
Call Back: $575 - $625 per hour of patient contact after gratis hours.
Candidate Requirements To maintain the high standards of this IR program, candidates must meet the following:
Board Certification: Must be Board Certified in Radiology.
Training: Completion of an IR Residency or Fellowship is required.
Licensure: Active North Dakota State Medical License is highly preferred; an active IMLC LOQ is required if an ND license is not already held.
Clinical Proficiency: Mastery of general IR procedures is mandatory. You must provide a "Yes/No" response for each item on the required procedure list (including TACE, Y90, Cryoablation, and TIPS) at the time of submission.
Certifications: Active ACLS and BLS are required.
Documentation: A current Self-Query NPDB report (pulled within the last 30 days) is required at the time of presentation.
Background: A clean malpractice history is highly preferred for expedited processing.
