Hematology & Oncology (Locum Tenens) Greenville, SC Long-Term Engagement at a Premier Free-Standing Cancer Center
Are you a Board-Certified Hematologist/Oncologist seeking a stable, long-term locum tenens position in a vibrant Southeastern city? A leading cancer center in downtown Greenville is looking for a dedicated physician to support their comprehensive oncology program. This role offers a robust clinical experience with a 6-month initial contract and a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient care.
The Opportunity Join a high-functioning team of seven physicians and six APPs in a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to adult and geriatric hematology and oncology.
Clinical Scope: Manage a patient population with a focus on 65% benign hematology and 35% malignant oncology. Duties include participation in Tumor Boards, management of bone marrow transplants, and standard oncology orders.
Case Load: The role averages 25 outpatient visits and 20 inpatient rounding patients per day. Note that inpatient participation is a mandatory requirement for this position.
Support & Environment: Work within the EPIC EMR system. Chemotherapy administration is handled by specialized Nurse Oncologists, allowing you to focus on clinical management and treatment planning.
Schedule & Commitment: Seeking a provider available for 4 days per week, 4 weeks per month. A minimum 6-month initial contract is required.
Call: There is no call required during the locum period, though it is part of the permanent rotation (1:6-8 weeks) should you choose to transition to a permanent role.

Candidate Requirements To maintain the high clinical standards of this regional cancer center, candidates must meet the following:
Board Certification: Must be Board Certified in both Hematology and Oncology.
Licensure: Active South Carolina State Medical License and DEA are required.
Life Support: Active BLS is required.
Commitment: Must meet the 4-day/week availability and commit to at least 6 months.
Background: A clean background is required for expedited credentialing.
Documentation: A current Self-Query NPDB report (pulled within the last 30 days) is required at the time of presentation.
