Neonatologist (Per Diem) Richmond, VA Premier Opportunity at a Nationally Recognized Level III NICU
Are you a Board-Certified Neonatologist looking for a flexible per diem role in a sophisticated medical environment? Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking experienced physicians to provide day and night shift coverage at Henrico Doctors Hospital (HDH) in Richmond, Virginia. Join a team of six full-time neonatologists in a state-of-the-art facility known for its leadership in high-risk obstetrics and advanced surgical care.
The Opportunity Practice in a 40-bed, Level III NICU equipped with the latest neonatal technology and supported by a highly skilled nursing and leadership team.
Clinical Scope: Manage high-acuity cases including high-frequency ventilation (HFOV & HFJV), inhaled nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia with aEEG. The unit also cares for pediatric surgical patients.
Team Dynamics: A collaborative model with two neonatologists on day coverage (7:30 AM 5:00 PM) and one in-house neonatologist providing night coverage (5:00 PM 7:30 AM).
Transport: Oversight of a nurse-driven transport team averaging 15 transports per year.

Compensation Hourly Rate: Competitive pay starting at $199 - $207 per hour.
Holiday Pay: 1.25x the standard rate.

Extra Time: Standard rate applies for hours over 40 per week.
Candidate Requirements To ensure the highest standard of care at this leading facility, candidates must meet the following:
Board Certification: Must be Board Certified in Neonatology with recent clinical experience.
Experience: Must have been clinically active within the last 12 months with at least 6 months of specialty-specific experience.
Licensure: Active Virginia State Medical License is required.
