Are you an experienced Neonatologist seeking a per diem role in a high-volume, advanced clinical setting? We have an exciting opportunity to join the team at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. This position offers the chance to lead a robust Level-III NICU while enjoying the "Southern charm" and outdoor lifestyle of the Blue Ridge foothills.
The Opportunity Work within a premier healthcare system managing nearly 4,000 deliveries annually. This role balances high-acuity neonatal management with well-baby rounding and medical education.
Clinical Scope: Oversee a 35-bed, Level-III NICU providing comprehensive care, including high-frequency ventilation and hypothermia therapy.
Team & Support: Benefit from 12-hour NNP night coverage and a strong subspecialty network including Cardiology, Surgery, Ophthalmology, and a three-member MFM group.
Teaching Component: Well-baby rounding (scheduled 2 weeks out of 4) provides the opportunity to work alongside a Family Medicine Residency program.
Volume: The facility sees approximately 370-400 NICU admissions annually with a daily census of 25-29 infants.
Shift Structure: 24-hour shifts consisting of rounding plus call.

Compensation Daily Rate: Competitive 24-hour flat rate starting at $2,808 - $2,964 per shift.
Holiday Pay: 1.25x the standard rate.

Candidate Requirements To maintain the high standards of this leading healthcare system, candidates must meet the following:
Board Certification: Must be Board Certified in Neonatology.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year post-fellowship experience in a neonatology role. Candidates must have been clinically active within the last 12 months with at least 6 months of specialty-specific experience.
Licensure: Active South Carolina State Medical License is required.
