Core responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care under RN or physician supervision, following care plans and physician orders
- Conduct patient assessments and administer medications and treatments accurately
- Evaluate, clean, dress, and manage wounds; monitor for signs of infection or complications
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient condition
- Maintain thorough, timely patient records and communicate care needs to the team
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care
- Respond promptly in medical emergencies and comply with infection control protocols
