24-Hour Call Coverage Inpatient GI Ongoing Locums Pool Opportunity
A healthcare facility in Georgia is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for upcoming locums call coverage with the opportunity to join an ongoing provider pool for future shifts. This is an excellent opportunity for a GI physician seeking inpatient-only coverage with no clinic responsibilities.
Coverage Need:
- 7:00 AM 12/21/2026 7:00 AM 12/28/2026
- 24-hour call coverage
Practice Setting:
- Acute care hospital setting
- Inpatient-only GI coverage
- No clinic duties required
- Provider will manage:
- Existing GI inpatient census and consults
- New ED consults
- New inpatient consults
- GI procedures as needed
- Handoff support from established local GI group
Clinical Scope:
- Bread and Butter Gastroenterology
- ERCP experience strongly preferred
- Adult inpatient population
- Limited pediatric ER exposure only (no inpatient pediatric line)
Facility Details:
- 196-bed acute care hospital
- EMR: Epic
Compensation:
Competitive rates available, including:
- 24-Hour Call: up to $3,666/day
- Callback: up to $449/hour
- Holiday rates available
- Orientation compensation available
(Malpractice must be included in submitted rates.)
Requirements:
- Board Certified Gastroenterology
- Active Georgia license at time of submission
- GA DEA / CSR
- BLS & ACLS certifications
- Clean malpractice/background history for expedited processing
- Must be local provider (no flights)
- Current NPDB self-query within 30 days
- Availability noted at submission
