A reputable, well-established healthcare system is seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon for ongoing locum tenens call coverage at a Level III trauma facility.
Assignment Details:
- Start Date: July 2026
- Duration: Ongoing need
- Schedule: 24-hour call shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 AM)
- Call Type: Beeper call only
- Response Time: 20 minutes
- Patient Volume: Low (typically 1 2 patients seen per call shift)
- Cases: Bread-and-butter orthopedics (fractures, sports injuries, general ortho)
- No spine required
Practice Setting:
- Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
- Emergency Department call coverage
- Modern, efficient OR with block scheduling
- Fully digital radiology department
- Supported by orthopedic PAs and experienced surgical staff
- Complex cases are transferred out
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS required)
- Active state license or IMLC eligibility
- Active DEA and CDS (state-specific)
- Must be comfortable with general orthopedic procedures, including total joints
Credentialing:
- Estimated 30-day timeframe
- Temporary privileges available
