Overview Seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for a locum to perm opportunity at a free-standing cancer center in Greenville, SC. This role offers no call during the locum period, with a structured call schedule once transitioned to permanent.
Practice Highlights Free-standing cancer center
Adult and geriatric patient population
65% benign hematology 35% malignant oncology
7 physicians and 6 APPs providing coverage
Average 25 outpatient patients/day
Average 20 inpatient patients/day (rounding/call)
Practice includes both outpatient and inpatient oncology
EMR: EPIC
Candidate Requirements Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology REQUIRED
Active South Carolina license (or willing to obtain) REQUIRED
BLS & DEA REQUIRED
Clean background required for emergency temps
Current NPDB required for submission
Schedule & Coverage Locum Period: No call
Permanent Call Schedule: 1 week every 6 8 weeks
Participation in tumor board
Management of bone marrow transplants and blood bank
Orders labs, imaging, and prescriptions
Chemotherapy administered by oncology nursing staff
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60 days
