Wound, Burn and Ostomy Physician

Coverage Needed

• Start Date: As soon as credentialed
• End Date: Ongoing
• Full Time Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday - 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • No Call, No Weekends

Clinical Details

• EMR System: Epic
• 100% adult and geriatric
• Practice Settings: Outpatient Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine
• Center has 8 exam rooms and HBO suite with 2 chambers
• Patients Per Day: 12-20 outpatient wound visits; 1-4 outpatient HBO treatments
• Support Staff: Highly skilled RNs; 1 APP in office 4 days/week (Tuesday-Thursday)
• Trauma Level: Level II Trauma Center
• Required Procedures/Duties: Assess and prescribe standard wound care treatments, compression therapy, wound vacs, HBO treatment oversight, debridements, casts, advanced tissue applications, I&D, callous paring, chemical cautery
  • Optional punch biopsies

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Surgery
• Certifications: ACLS
• Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine training and experience
• Active Illinois license
• Active Illinois DEA/CSR
• Clean and easy-to-credential candidates highly preferred
