Pediatric - Nephrology Physician

Job description

Due to sustained community need and continued program growth, the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) is seeking two full-time Pediatric Nephrologist to join the expanding pediatric subspecialty team at Oklahoma Children s Hospital at OU Health , the state s flagship academic children s hospital.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for infants, children, and adolescents with a broad range of kidney and urinary tract disorders. Clinical responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Acute and chronic kidney disease
  • Hypertension
  • Congenital anomalies of the kidney and urinary tract
  • Glomerular diseases
  • Acute and chronic dialysis therapies
  • Pre- and post-kidney transplant care in collaboration with the transplant team
This role includes a full-time faculty appointment at the University of Oklahoma, with academic rank commensurate with experience.

The Pediatric Nephrologist will join a collegial, multidisciplinary pediatric team committed to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, medical education, and scholarly activity. Opportunities are available for:

  • Clinical, translational, or outcomes-based research, aligned with the candidate s interests
Qualifications
  • MD or DO (or equivalent)
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Nephrology fellowship
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Nephrology
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Oklahoma
  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, academic medicine, and high-quality patient care
