Cardiothoracic Surgery APP Locum Opportunity Washington
A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner with Cardiothoracic Surgery experience for a full-time locum assignment supporting both inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular and thoracic surgery services.
Compensation:
Orientation: $100/hr
Hourly: $200/hr
Holiday: $305/hr
Nightly Call: $520/hr
Holiday Nightly Call: $778
On Call (Daily): $1,260 per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis
24 Hour Holiday Call: $1,890 per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis
Call Back: $200
Holiday Call Back: $305

Call Coverage:
1 2 weekday call shifts per week
Weekend call coverage
Night call from 5:00 PM 7:00 AM
Practice Setting
Hospital: 95%
Clinic: 5%
Adult patient population only
Clinical Responsibilities
Assist with cardiothoracic surgical procedures
Participate in inpatient rounding
Provide post-operative patient management
Support outpatient clinic operations as needed
Manage acute care and ICU cardiothoracic surgery patients
Evaluate and manage volume status and blood pressure issues
Assist with care coordination across the surgical service
Required Experience & Procedures
Candidates must have cardiothoracic surgery experience in both the operating room and acute care/ICU settings.
Required procedural experience includes:
Open cardiothoracic surgery
Coronary artery bypass grafting (on-pump)
Valve repair procedures
Valve replacement procedures
Preferred experience includes:
Cardiac aneurysm repair
Thoracic aortic aneurysm repair
Lung resections, including VATS
Chest wall and pleural procedures
Left ventricular assist devices (LVADs)
Ventilator management
Central line placement
Management of acute postoperative cardiovascular patients
Patient Volume
Hospital patients per day: 5 10
Admissions: 0 3 daily
ICU patients: 2 7 daily
Surgical cases: 1 2 daily

Requirements
Certified Nurse Practitioner
Cardiothoracic Surgery experience required
Ability to assist in the OR and manage patients in acute care and ICU settings
Active Washington license preferred
Clean malpractice and background history preferred
Credentialing
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 3+ months
