Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in a hospital setting.
Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process.
Participates in patient education, assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Demonstrates competence in care of patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects.
Performs bedside point of care testing as required.
Promotes a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment.
Participates in professional growth, performance improvement, and cost-effective care activities.

One (1) year of nursing experience required.
2+ years emergency department experience preferred.
Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing required.
BSN or MSN preferred.
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification required.

Required Certifications include Registered Nursing License and BLS Certification.
Preferred Certifications include ACLS - AHA, PALS - AHA, and NIHSS.
