  • No. of Beds in Department: 300+ Acute Care Beds (including 40+ ICU/PCU beds)
  • EMR System: Epic
  • Specialty Backup Available: Multispecialty support (Cardiology, Nephrology, Vascular Surgery, CT surgery, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Gastroenterology, ID, Urology, ENT, General Surgery, Ortho, Podiatry, Neurology, Radiology, Interventional Radiology)
  • Support Staff Available: Dedicated NP/PA Admitter; Code/Rapid Response Teams
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
  • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (ABIM, ABFM)
  • Licenses: Active unrestricted TN Medical license
  • DEA / CDS: Active DEA with TN address and schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4,5
  • Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, and PALS if not Board Certified in Emergency Medicine; NRP required for Non-ABEM providers
  • Experience: Residency training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine required; new graduates acceptable
  • Other Qualifications: Case logs for past 2 years; Preeclampsia-Eclampsia CME required; Immunizations (MMR, Varicella, TB test) per facility policy
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide inpatient care for medical and cardiac patients
  • Supervise and oversee nurse practitioners and physician assistants
  • Manage patient admissions, discharges, and daily rounding
  • Coordinate with a wide range of specialists for multidisciplinary care
  • Ensure accurate documentation in Epic EMR
