Locums Pediatric Hospitalist Eureka, CAWhy This Role
- Fast credentialing: 15 days
- Defined call blocks across summer
- Multiple openings (2 providers needed)
- Board-eligible accepted (within 3-5 years of residency)
Assignment Details- Coverage type: 24-hour beeper call (6a-6a)
- Date blocks:
- June 25-29 - July 2-7 - July 23-27 - July 30 - August 1- Setting: Inpatient
- Call: Beeper, 20-30 minute response
- EMR: Epic
- Credentialing: 15 days
Clinical Details- Pediatric hospitalist call coverage
- Required: neonatal airway management/intubation (newborn and pediatric), management of neonatal air leak/pneumothorax including needle decompression, emergent UVC placement (delivery room), UVC/UAC placement, lumbar puncture, EKG interpretation
- Preferred: ventilator management, neonatal chest tube insertion
- Note: central line placement not required outside the newborn period; pediatric intubations/chest tubes typically handled in ED
Requirements- Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 3-5 years of residency)
- Active CA license
- Active DEA
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP
- 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in the specialty
- Clean malpractice/NPDB file (no exceptions)
Compensation- No rate caps - Urgent Need
