Job Title: Locum Physician - Anesthesiology - Cardiac Summary
Join a dynamic medical facility in Omaha, Nebraska, known for its commitment to excellence in patient care. This teaching hospital is equipped with advanced technology and serves as a Level 1 Trauma and Academic Center with 187 beds, 15 operating rooms, and state-of-the-art endoscopy suites. The facility seeks CV anesthesiology locums to cover open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart cases. Candidates must be TEE certified, with a preference for those who have completed a cardiac anesthesiology fellowship. The selected provider will also assist with general OR cases as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive anesthesiology services for cardiac surgical procedures.
- Assist with general OR cases when required.
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and patient evaluations.
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout their surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training as needed.
Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completed an ACGME accredited or equivalent CV anesthesia fellowship.
- Experience with Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography (testamur status required).
- Minimum of five years documented CV anesthesia experience if not fellowship trained.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
License and Certification Requirements
- Board Certified in cardiac anesthesiology and transesophageal echo (required).
- Nebraska state license (highly preferred) or IMLC license.
- TEE certification (required).
- Clean malpractice history (required).
- Self-Query NPDB report must be dated within 30 days of the presentation date (required).
