We are seeking a hands-on Shop Mechanic responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide variety of company vehicles, equipment, and mechanical systems. This position supports our field operations by ensuring all equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving mechanical problems, works independently, and is comfortable learning new equipment.

  • Electric saws
  • 220V shop equipment
  • Various electric power tools

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, fuel, and electrical issues.
  • Repair gasoline and diesel engines.
  • Service small-engine equipment.
  • Maintain forklifts, generators, utility vehicles, and construction equipment.
  • Perform oil changes, tune-ups, belt replacement, filters, brakes, batteries, and fluid services.
  • Repair hydraulic and mechanical systems.
  • Grease equipment and inspect moving components.
  • Maintain service records.
  • Ensure equipment meets safety standards.
  • Coordinate repairs to minimize equipment downtime.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of mechanical experience
  • Experience with both gas and diesel engines
  • Experience maintaining construction or landscape equipment
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting
  • Welding experience (plus)
  • Forklift experience (plus)
  • Own mechanic tools preferred
  • Valid driver's license
What You'll Do
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain company vehicles, trucks, and equipment

  • Handle small engine repairs (pumps, motors, pool equipment, etc.)

  • Perform preventative maintenance to keep our fleet running efficiently

  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend solutions

  • Serve as the primatry technician for fleet and equipment needs

  • Support, guide and work with other technicians as needed

  • Ensure documentation is properly completed for all service

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience as a mechanic (fleet, diesel, small engine, or equipment)

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership

  • Experience with trucks, small engines, or service equipment preferred

  • Reliable, organized, and solution-oriented

  • Team player is a must

  • Weekend availability

  • Available for OT if needed
