Job description

Position Overview

  • Job Title: Locum Tenens Interventional Radiology Physician

  • Location: Greenville, SC

  • Start Date: September 15, 2025

  • Assignment Length: 26 weeks

  • Shifts per Week: 5

  • Shift Duration: 8-hour days

  • Schedule: Scheduled day shifts, no call required

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds

  • Deliver accurate and timely reports to referring physicians

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to diagnose and manage patient conditions

  • Participate in patient care rounds and interdepartmental case discussions

  • Maintain compliance with quality assurance, safety, and departmental protocols

  • Perform a range of interventional radiology procedures:

    • Angiography

    • Stent placement

    • Embolization

    • Image-guided biopsies

    • Central venous access placement and management

    • Vascular closure systems and endovascular interventions

  • Foster a patient-centered, collaborative care environment

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school

  • Completed residency in diagnostic radiology (ACGME or AOA accredited)

  • Board certification in radiology (ABR or AOA)

  • Active, unrestricted South Carolina medical license

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical interventional radiology experience

  • Proficiency with RIS, PACS, and other imaging technologies

  • Excellent clinical judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills
