    Job Details
  • RN - Labor and Delivery position at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center, part of Trinity Health system in Des Moines, Iowa.
  • Circulating experience preferred.
    Job Requirements
  • Must have valid nursing license with verification dated within 30 days of start.
  • BLS certification required for all direct patient care personnel.
  • ACLS certification required for RNs in critical care areas including Labor and Delivery.
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required for Birth Center RNs.
  • AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required.
  • Specialty specific competency testing must be completed within a year.
    Schedule Information
  • Shift hours: 07:00 - 19:30.
  • Every other to every third weekend as needed.
  • Every other holiday.
  • No on call required.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Labor and Delivery unit.
  • Circulating nurse experience preferred.
    Additional Details
  • Must complete Trinity Code of Conduct Form, I9, Confidentiality and Security Agreement, Integrity and Audit Services Form, Non Employee Upload Form.
  • Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccine or approved declination/exemption.
  • Must provide proof of MMR, Hepatitis B vaccination series, Influenza vaccine (optional), 2 Step PPD or IGRA, Varicella vaccination or titer, Physical/Health Statement, and 10 Panel Drug Screen within required timeframes.
  • Must complete Trinity Profile including resume, skills checklist, and professional references.
  • Must complete various background checks and verifications including criminal background, education, EPLS, GSA/OIG, Joint Commission Testing, NSO, and OFAC within specified timeframes.
  • Must complete Trinity System Access Form one week before start.
  • Must complete Trinity Skills Checklist for clinical contractors.
  • Must have current TDAP vaccine or approved declination if no pediatric interaction.
  • Iowa specific child and adult dependent abuse training and sing report required.
