We are seeking a reliable and organized Warehouse Assistant to support daily warehouse operations for a supply company. This role is responsible for organizing inventory, preparing outbound deliveries, receiving inbound shipments, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, and assisting with accurate material handling and tracking. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse.


Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Warehouse Organization

  • Organize and maintain warehouse stock, shelves, bins, and storage areas
  • Ensure materials and products are labeled and stored properly
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock audits
  • Able to lift between 50-75lbs
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or damaged materials
  • Keep warehouse clean, safe, and organized at all times
  • Assist with stocking and restocking materials and supplies

Inbound Deliveries & Receiving

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders
  • Inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies
  • Unload deliveries safely and efficiently
  • Communicate any missing or damaged items to management immediately
  • Enter or document received inventory accurately in company systems or logs

Outbound Deliveries & Shipping

  • Prepare materials and orders for outbound deliveries and customer pickups
  • Pull and stage materials accurately for technicians, drivers, or customers
  • Ensure orders are complete and properly packaged before shipment
  • Coordinate with drivers and dispatch regarding delivery schedules
  • Load trucks safely and efficiently for deliveries

General Warehouse Support

  • Assist drivers and warehouse staff with loading and unloading materials
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely (hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts if certified)
  • Follow company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
  • Maintain accurate documentation and warehouse records
  • Support team members and assist with additional operational tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous warehouse, supply house, or inventory experience preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Basic computer and inventory system knowledge preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality required
  • Valid driver's license preferred
