    Job Details
  • Delivers care to patients and assists in monitoring, observing and reporting reactions to treatments, and changes in behavior.
  • Participates in the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members.
  • Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing.
  • Provides high quality care to the following patient populations: Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Adult, Psychiatric, Substance Abuse and Detoxification.
  • Previous mental health experience preferred.
  • Previous Epic experience within the last 12 months required.
  • While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census.
  • If called in, the traveler is expected to be able to respond and arrive on-site within one hour.
    Job Requirements
  • BLS certification required for clinical positions (AHA or ARC acceptable).
  • Primary Source Verification of professional license (RN license) within 30 days of start date, updated upon expiration.
  • GRH Education Verification must be verified through 3rd party.
  • GRH Drug Screen within 30 days of start - 9 panel drug screen required.
  • GRH Skills Checklist to be completed within 12 months - does not expire.
  • GRH CPI/MOAB certification required for all Psych positions.
  • Pre-Orientation CBL Acknowledgement must be uploaded.
  • Epic Registration Acknowledgement Form must be signed and uploaded after registration.
  • COVID-19 Vaccine or declination accepted.
  • MMR: 2 vaccines or positive titer; booster or declination accepted if low or equivocal.
  • Fit Test completed prior to start with acceptable masks.
  • Hepatitis B: 2 vaccines or positive titer; booster or declination accepted if low or equivocal.
  • TB Test: Proof of negative test within past year or documentation if history of positive test.
  • Health Statement: Physician statement within last 12 months.
  • Driver's License/State ID must be current and valid during assignment.
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; booster or declination accepted if low or equivocal.
  • Tdap valid for 10 years from administered date; declinations accepted.
  • GRH Background Check within 30 days of start including SS trace and county search for last 7 years.
  • GRH Iowa Adult and Child Abuse state requirement.
  • GRH EPLS/GSA/SAM HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start.
  • 2 Professional References required, 1 must be from Supervisor.
  • GRH Resume or Profile required.
  • GRH I9 Attestation required.
  • GRH Color Vision test required.
  • GRH Contract Employee Data Sheet required.
  • GRH NSO check within 30 days of start.
  • GRH OFAC check within 30 days of start.
  • GRH Evergreen Link must be completed within 48 hours of offer acceptance.
    Schedule Information
  • West Burlington Campus shift: 07:00 - 19:30.
  • Fort Madison Campus shift: 06:00 - 18:30.
  • Traveler may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census but is not part of regular call rotation.
