Government Airport Health Screening Physician Atlanta, GA Up to $175/hr
Medix Healthcare Staffing is seeking a physician (MD/DO) to support a federal public health initiative at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia.
Required Schedule (1 Physician Needed):
- Tuesday Saturday 6:00am 2:30pm
- Note: Schedule may shift week to week based on flight schedules. On-call coverage may also be required.
Assignment Details:
- Pay: Up to $175/hr
- Contract: August 3, 2026 February 5, 2027
- Location: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Atlanta, Georgia
- Local candidates from the Greater Atlanta area strongly preferred
What You Will Be Doing:
- Evaluate travelers referred after initial nursing screening
- Conduct focused public health assessments using established federal protocols
- Provide clinical guidance and oversight to nursing staff
- Collaborate with federal agencies and airport personnel
- Document assessments and public health interventions
Requirements:
- MD or DO
- Active unrestricted U.S. medical license
- Board Certified preferred
- Clean malpractice history
- U.S. Citizen required for federal airport security clearance
- Ability to pass an extensive federal background investigation
- Ability to obtain airport security badging

- PPE training and N95 fit testing
- Mandatory training in Atlanta (Tuesday through Friday)
