Associate Director, Relationship Manager

Manage relationships with US and Canadian domiciled Insurance and Public Pension Fund clients to originate new business for Standard Chartered. Conduct extensive client research such as the review of financial statements to discuss potential opportunities or areas of concerns with the client. Preparation of material for client meetings including pitch books for discussion materials and briefing notes to provide potential areas of discussion and summarize the current client relationship. Post client engagement, ensure that follow-up items are shared and actioned appropriately by respective product partners. Create and present submissions to the bank's regional and global credit application forums to obtain approvals for new lending transactions. Provide support on new business transactions, including deal execution support, credit documentation, onboarding documentation, loading limits and deal drawdowns. Create Account Plans for key clients across the portfolio, including projections for revenue, liabilities and risk weighted assets, and key pipeline opportunities. Ensure that all relevant client team members and internal stakeholders have been appropriately engaged in respect to planning and communication with each respective client. Work alongside product partners to provide clients with pricing for transactions across cash management, trade, lending and financial markets. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Standard Chartered Bank policy

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the position offered or in a related position. Must have one (1) year of experience with: Utilizing Microsoft Excel to analyze and interpret complex financial data sets, including cash flow projections, client revenue forecasts, and risk-weighted asset models; Applying advanced Excel functions to support financial modeling and scenario analysis; Analyzing corporate financial statements to assess financial health and creditworthiness; Preparing client-facing presentations by transforming multi-dimensional financial data into dynamic visualizations using advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint design tools to support strategic decision-making and client engagement; Monitoring and synthesizing information from financial statements, credit rating agency reports, and global macroeconomic news to identify potential business development opportunities with corporate clients; Calculating and interpreting key financial metrics such as EBITDA, net debt/EBITDA, net debt/equity, net income, and return on equity; Using these metrics to evaluate client credit risk profiles and support decision-making in credit assessments.

$165,000 - $180,000/year
