ATC West Healthcare is seeking one locum OB/GYN physician to provide a combination of outpatient clinic coverage and inpatient call. This 3 6 month assignment offers a balanced mix of obstetrics and gynecology, caring for a diverse patient population in a collaborative practice supported by experienced clinical staff.
Dates & Schedule
- Start: As soon as credentialed (minimum 60-day credentialing process)
- Duration: 3 6 months
- Schedule: 3 clinic shifts and 1 call shift per week
- Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM 4:45 PM
- Call: 7:00 AM 7:00 AM (24-hour call)
- Flexible scheduling based on provider availability
- Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient
- FTE: 1.0
Job Details & Responsibilities
- Provide approximately % obstetric and % gynecologic care.
- Manage a mix of low- and high-risk OB patients, including diabetes, hypertension, advanced maternal age, and twin pregnancies.
- Perform routine gynecologic care, including annual exams, abnormal uterine bleeding evaluations, contraception management, and surgical consultations.
- Opportunity to perform office procedures such as:
- LEEP
- Colposcopy
- IUD and Nexplanon placement
- Circumcisions (optional)
- See approximately patients per day.
- Manage labor and delivery patients during call.
- Provide ER gynecology coverage.
- Assist Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) and Family Practice OB physicians.
- Cover a Level II nursery supported by dedicated nursery staff and a 24/7 CNM team.
- Read obstetric ultrasounds while on call as needed.
- Work with a multidisciplinary team including L&D nurses, CNMs, family practice OB physicians, medical assistants, RNs, LPN/LVNs, lab technicians, and radiology staff.
- Documentation completed in Epic EMR.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Board Certified OB/GYN highly preferred; truly Board Eligible accepted.
- Active Washington medical license highly preferred (IMLC with Letter of Qualification accepted).
- BLS certification required.
- DEA registration required during credentialing.
- Experience managing labor and delivery, inpatient OB care, and emergency gynecologic cases.
- Comfortable practicing in a community hospital setting.
- Clean malpractice and background history highly preferred.
- Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation is required.
- Local providers are strongly preferred; candidates who do not require air travel are highly favored.
