Job Opportunity: Locum - Physician - OB/GYN in Federal Way, WA
Summary: Join the dynamic team at a well-respected medical facility in Federal Way, Washington, providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care. The practice is looking for a locum tenens physician to work 3 clinic shifts and 1 call shift per week, with scheduling flexibility. This facility serves a diverse patient population with a mix of high-risk and low-risk obstetrics cases, situated in a vibrant community with supportive resources.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide care for a mix of 60-70% OB to 30-40% GYN patients.
- Manage both high-risk and low-risk obstetric cases, including diabetics, hypertension, and multiple births.
- Perform gynecological exams, annual visits, and birth control consultations.
- Read and interpret basic ultrasound results, with support from in-office sonographers.
- Conduct minor procedures including LEEPs and colposcopy.
- Carry out procedures involving various birth control methods such as IUD placements and Nexplanon implementation.
- Support labor and delivery by managing patients and assisting CNMs/FPOBs as needed.
- Provide GYN coverage in emergency settings.
- Collaborate with a fully staffed level 2 nursery.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in OB/GYN is highly preferred; Board Eligible is required.
- Valid Washington state medical license or IMLC with LOQ in hand.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- DEA certification is preferred during credentialing.
- Maintained a clean malpractice and background record.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Washington medical license (highly preferred).
- DEA certification (highly preferred).
- BLS certification (required).
- Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation (required).
