Human Resources Manager
The Human Resources Manager partners with leadership to drive effective people practices in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role oversees all aspects of employment and employee relations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compliance, benefits, payroll coordination, and safety programs. Serving as a trusted advisor and employee advocate, the position ensures consistent application of HR policies, legal compliance, and positive employee relations while supporting business objectives through coaching, communication, and organizational development.
Responsibilities:
- Provides coaching, leadership, and support to managers and employees regarding Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, questions, and concerns.
- Leads and manages all employment practices, including recruitment, orientation, professional development, promotions, transfers, terminations, and temporary agency utilization.
- Administers various human resource policies for the site, including attendance and disciplinary policies, ensuring consistency within the location.
- Acts as an employee advocate and mediator for employee relations concerns and handles human resources legal issues as required.
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state human resource requirements; conducts investigations; maintains records; and represents the organization at hearings.
- Participates in employee disciplinary and/or counseling issues with supervision as necessary and reviews disciplinary documentation as applicable.
- Administers all employee benefits and payroll programs, coordinating with corporate as necessary; assists employees with payroll-related questions.
- Recruits salaried (exempt/non-exempt), hourly, part-time, and agency employees.
- Ensures effective employee onboarding and orientation, with follow-up as needed.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills; builds and maintains professional relationships and works effectively with all levels of management and employees.
- Actively participates in and leads the plant safety program; manages all safety-related documentation, including accident reporting and OSHA recordkeeping.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bilingual (Spanish) required.
- Minimum of 35 years of experience; manufacturing environment preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in a Human Resources-related field required; Master's degree (M.S.) is a plus.
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership ability through partnering with business leaders in a fast-paced, evolving operations environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, with the ability to interpret, apply, and communicate this knowledge in support of business initiatives.
- Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
The annual salary range is $85K $110K. Exact salary offered will depend on candidate's experience, work location, skills, etc.
