Hospitalist Physician

Coverage Needed :

• Schedule: 7 on / 7 off
  • One day of Orientation/Epic Training
  • One day of Proctoring
  • Shift Times: 7am-7pm, 7pm-7am

Clinical Details :

• Specialty: Night ICU Capable APP Hospital Med
• Open ICU model; manage ICU patients
• Average daily census: 22
• Admits per day: 2-4
• 49 licensed beds; 6 ICU beds
• Cases/Procedures: Indirect Laryngoscopy Intubation, Insertion and Management of Central Venous Catheters, Insertion and Management of Arterial Catheters, Moderate Sedation, Lumbar Puncture, Endotracheal Intubation and Extubation, Ventilator Management Including Readiness for and Administering Respirator Weaning/Oxygen Therapy and Extubation, Assessing Need for Intubation, Insertion of Arterial Lines, Central Venous Lines Either Percutaneously or By Cut Down, Chest Tube Insertion, Tracheostomy care including tube change, Arterial Line Insertion and Removal (Radial and Femoral), CVC Line Placement, External Pacing Including Adjusting Temporary Epicardial, Transvenous Or Transcutaneous Pacemaker as necessary management of Tension Pneumothorax in Emergent Situation, Paracentesis
• Supervising Physician: Yes, on-call physician available within 20 minutes
• EMR and Dictation Tools: EPIC/Dragon

Requirements :

• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Will not consider new grads
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Case Logs: 50 cases in 12 months
• Will only consider candidates from Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio
