OptumCare Colorado is seeking a Primary Care Physician to join our team in beautiful Lakewood, outside of Denver! Optum is a clinician-led care organization that is changing the way clinicians work and live.This position will be primarily based in Lakewood; however, the physician should be flexible to provide coverage at our Golden clinic as well, approximately 1-2 days per week as needed.As a member of the Optum Care Delivery team, you'll be an integral part of our vision to make healthcare better for everyone.

Position Highlights:
Dragon and AI charting available
EPIC EMR system
Practice Manager on-site
Each clinician has a dedicated MA
Possibility of 4-day work week
32 Patient Contact Hours / 4 Admin Hours
2000 Average Patient Panel per Physician
Full spectrum of primary care procedures
Weekday Call: Average once a month/starting at 5pm
Weekend Call: Average 3 to 4 per year
Average/Goal of 18 - 20 patients per day

Physician Partnership Program

Primary Responsibilities:
As a Primary Care Physician, you will provide full scope primary care services.
Examine diagnose and treat patients for acute and chronic conditions or concerns injuries, infections, and illnesses
Counsel and educate patients and families about acute and chronic conditions or concerns
Complete timely and thorough documentation using our EMR system
Formulate diagnostic and treatment plans
Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and procedures
Order lab and imaging tests to determine and manage an immediate treatment plan and provide advice on follow up
Responsible for the coordination of care with specialists and appropriate ancillary services
Completes all documentation and paperwork in a timely manner
Maintain quality of care standards as defined by the practice
Supervise Physician Assistants / Nurse Practitioners as needed
Required Qualifications:
Unrestricted CO state license or the ability to obtain prior to start date
Current DEA certificate required prior to start date
BC/BE in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine or ability to obtain prior to start date
Current BLS, ACLS certification prior to start date

Preferred Qualifications:
1+ year working in outpatient primary care
Experience in providing patient care under a population health model

The salary range for this role is $229,500 to $378,000 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
