J2M Truck Repair is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team in Chicago Ridge, IL.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on semi-trucks and trailers. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is dependable, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced shop.
Responsibilities:
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Perform engine, transmission, suspension, brake, and drivetrain repairs
• Preventative maintenance (PM services)
• DOT inspections
• Repair air, fuel, and cooling systems
• Troubleshoot electrical systems
• Keep accurate repair records
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
• Experience working on Class 8 trucks
• Own basic mechanic tools
• Strong diagnostic skills
• Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus)
• Welding experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
