Job Summary and Responsibilities As our General Orthopedic Surgeon, you will provide expert orthopedic surgical care within our thriving Dignity Health Medical Group practice in Prescott, AZ. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a board-certified orthopedic trauma surgeon seeking to contribute to a well-established and growing team. You will leverage your extensive experience in fracture management, wound care, and total joint replacement, serving a diverse patient population within a Level 4 Trauma hospital setting. This role demands a commitment to high-quality patient care and offers the chance to make a significant impact on our community's orthopedic health.
Every day you will manage a dynamic patient workload, seeing 30-40 clinic patients and conducting 5+ inpatient consults and 10+ emergency department consultations on your call days. Your typical week will involve Monday through Thursday clinic hours (9 AM - 4 PM), with dedicated surgical days rotated effectively amongst the team. You will perform a comprehensive range of orthopedic surgical procedures, utilizing the latest techniques and technologies to deliver optimal patient outcomes. Expect to participate in a shared call schedule, contributing 7+ call days per month alongside our trusted local orthopedic partners.
To be successful in this role, you will possess 5+ years of orthopedic surgery experience, demonstrating a strong background in orthopedic trauma and general orthopedic procedures. You will be a team-oriented physician, collaborating effectively with our existing two-physician group and three dedicated Nurse Practitioners. Expertise in trauma surgery, fracture repair, and joint reconstruction is essential. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care in a fast-paced environment, possessing excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous professional development.
We are offering a competitive 2 year salary guarantee then RVU-based, a sign-on bonus, full benefits, CME allowance, Malpractice with tail coverage, and relocation assistance for eligible candidates. Job Requirements Required
- Completion of a residency in medicine and a fellowship in Colorectal Surgery, in ACGME approved programs
- Current BC/BE in Colon and Rectal Surgery (American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery)
- Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona
- Valid DEA certificate
