An inpatient medical center in Albuquerque, New Mexico is seeking a Gastroenterology physician to provide ongoing locum coverage. This role offers scheduled clinical service with call coverage in a well-supported hospital setting.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday through Sunday
- Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with overnight call from 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Setting: Inpatient
Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient gastroenterology consults and rounding coverage
- Perform endoscopic procedures as needed
- Participate in 24-hour beeper call coverage
- Respond to urgent clinical needs in a timely manner based on call expectations
- Collaborate with advanced practice providers and nursing staff to support patient care
Qualifications:- Board Certified Gastroenterologist
- Active New Mexico medical license
- Active New Mexico Board of Pharmacy registration
- DEA registration for New Mexico
- ERCP experience
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- Ability to meet temporary privileges requirements, including a clean background check
