Job Summary
The Assembler I supports industrial manufacturing operations by assembling large tools, wiring systems, and mechanical components with accuracy and care. This entry level role is ideal for someone with warehouse or assembly experience who is comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and detailed instructions.
The ideal candidate is reliable, detail oriented, and eager to learn. They follow safety protocols, work well with a team, and take pride in producing high quality assemblies that support daily production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepares daily assembly tasks by reviewing assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, and by gathering required parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positions components and subassemblies accurately using templates, measurement tools, or written specifications.
- Assembles parts and subassemblies by checking connections for proper fit and securely fastening all components.
- Verifies completed assemblies by measuring and confirming they meet required specifications.
- Troubleshoots assembly issues by adjusting dimensions when needed and notifying the supervisor if additional resources or support are required.
- Regularly lifts up to 40 lbs throughout the shift as part of daily assembly and material-handling tasks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of Warehouse or assembly experience required
- Strong basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers and decimals.
- Ability to read and communicate in English in a production/warehouse setting.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
