Shift: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Payrate: $21/hr
Position Summary:
The Warehouse Assistant supports daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient order fulfillment and a safe working environment. This role involves a variety of tasks, including receiving and shipping, order picking, operating powered equipment, and general warehouse maintenance. The ideal candidate is reliable, adaptable, and able to lift up to 80 lbs.

Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in receiving, loading, unloading, scanning, and put-away of products
- Fulfill and load route trucks, boxed beef, and will-call orders
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (after training)
- Perform order selection, palletizing, stretch wrapping, invoicing, and labeling
- Rebox product, conduct freezer work as needed, and keep the warehouse clean
- Work with QA and accounting teams to process returns and ensure credits are issued
- Ensure all special product and customer requirements are met
- Complete safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) checks and forms daily
- Report any potential safety hazards to management immediately
- Assist with inventory control, including investigating discrepancies and item-to-item transfers
- Adhere to all company safety rules and warehouse policies
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to work in refrigerated/freezer environments when required
- Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Previous warehouse experience a plus, but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly lift and carry heavy items (up to 80 lbs)
- Stand, walk, bend, and stretch for extended periods
- May work in cold environments (freezer work as needed)
