Job description
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Assembly Operator to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring that that any assigned jobs are carried out in strict accordance with work instructions and quality standards. Summary: This position works under the direction of the Operations Manager and performs operations on a variety of assigned jobs alone or as part of a team. Ensures that any assigned job conforms to the specifications and instructions indicated on the shop traveler. Verifies that the work performed is consistent and that it meets or exceeds the quality standards. Assumes other activities and responsibilities when necessary. Has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.
Essential Functions:
Clean, assemble, and alloy parts.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Complete all accompanying paperwork for jobs assigned.
Measure parts with various tools including calipers, high gauges, and microscopes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to speak, read, and write English.
Ability to count and sort parts of different sizes and shapes.
Ability to work under pressure, be flexible, and handle multiple and changing priorities under tight deadlines.
Ability to complete precise work using syringes and needles.
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary processes.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Working Conditions:
Ability to lift 30 pounds assisted or unassisted.
Multiple and variable shift schedules.
Ability to stand for a long period of time.
Shop atmosphere consisting of chemicals, sharp objects, and fluctuating temperatures.
Able and willing to work overtime.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED equivalent.

Punctuality and dependability.
Conscientious approach to work assignments, self-motivated.
Be able to follow moderately complex instructions and work orders.
Detail-oriented and able to work with small details with tooling.
