This position offers an opportunity to provide essential care to adult patients in an inpatient hospital setting. You ll be stepping in for a physician on leave, covering two critical days August 3 and 4, 2026. Our facility is equipped with Epic for efficient patient documentation, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide medical care and perform surgical procedures as a general surgeon.
- Manage inpatient care for 3-4 patients daily, ensuring optimal health outcomes.
- Participate in call coverage, with an expected callback of 3-4 hours depending on surgical cases.
- Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and standards.
- Coordinate with nursing staff and other healthcare providers to deliver quality care.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification in General Surgery (REQUIRED).
- Active Virginia Medical License (REQUIRED).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification (REQUIRED).
- Clean professional background with no malpractice or license issues (REQUIRED).
- Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation date (REQUIRED).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified - General Surgery.
- Active Virginia Medical License.
- ACLS Certification.
