Job Opportunity: Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Lima, Ohio
Join a dedicated healthcare team at a reputable facility in Lima, Ohio, known for its commitment to exceptional patient care. This position offers an opportunity to provide vital cardiovascular surgical services in a hospital setting, focusing on adult patients, with robust support staff and modern operating facilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive cardiovascular surgical care, including but not limited to:
- Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (CABG)
- Arterial Revascularization using internal mammary arteries, radial artery, and gastroepiploic artery
- Redo Coronary Revascularization with or without heart valve surgery
- Perform Pericardial Window
- Conduct heart valve repair/replacement surgery, including Mitral Valve Repair
- Participate in 24-hour call shifts, providing coverage 10-14 days per month.
- Collaborate with a surgical team that includes three Physician Assistants.
- Utilize EPIC for documentation and patient management.
- Engage in hospital-based rounding and address gaps in call coverage effectively.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Active Ohio Medical License.
- Completed Fellowship Training.
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
- Availability for specified coverage dates.
- Ability to perform all required surgical procedures.
- EPIC experience preferred.
- Self-Query NPDB report obtained within 30 days of presentation.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted Medical License in Ohio.
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
