Locums - Marshfield, Wisconsin Hematology/Oncology Opportunity
Clinical Role
Join a well-established Hematology/Oncology program in Marshfield, Wisconsin, providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care within a collaborative multidisciplinary cancer center. This ongoing locums opportunity offers a balanced clinic schedule, shared hospital call, and the opportunity to manage complex hematologic conditions, including acute leukemia, stem cell transplant follow-up, and CAR-T therapy patients.

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Call Schedule:
1:4 weekly hospital call
Friday 7:30 AM - Friday 7:30 AM
Daily inpatient rounding:
Monday through Sunday
Approximately 1-2 hours each morning
Additional weekday afternoon rounds:
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Call includes assigned and unassigned patients
Approximately 5-10 phone consults
Rarely requires returning to the hospital
Thirty-minute call response time required

Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Practice Setting:
Hospital
Outpatient Clinic
Cancer Center
Patient Volume:
Approximately 15 clinic patients per day
Clinical Responsibilities:
Outpatient Hematology and Oncology clinic
Hospital rounding
Management of acute leukemia patients
Management of inpatient chemotherapy patients
Supervision of chemotherapy patients
Hospital consultations
Add-on clinic consultations during weekday call
Bone marrow biopsies
Documentation and follow-up for:
Autologous Stem Cell Transplant patients
CAR-T Cell Therapy patients
Care coordination with multidisciplinary oncology teams
Required Procedures:
Bone marrow biopsies
Comprehensive hematology and oncology evaluation and management
Inpatient oncology coverage
Chemotherapy supervision
Support & Technology

Three Hematology/Oncology physicians
Three Advanced Practice Providers
Registered Nurses
Medical Assistants
Patient navigators
Infusion Registered Nurses
Radiation Oncology team
EMR System:
Cerner
Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology - Required
Completion of Hematology/Oncology Fellowship - Required
ACLS Certification - Required
ATLS Certification - Required
BLS Certification - Required
Experience performing bone marrow biopsies - Required
Ability to manage acute leukemia and inpatient chemotherapy patients - Required
Experience with post-autologous stem cell transplant and CAR-T therapy patient management - Preferred
