Opportunity:
Board Certified - General Surgery

Job Details:
  • Locum coverage needed for August 3 and 4, 2026 only - just 2 days of coverage required
  • Inpatient/hospital-based practice setting serving an adult patient population
  • Average of 3-4 patients per day in a hospital-based setting
  • Perform regular general surgery skills - no bariatric call or bariatric patients
  • Call coverage required via beeper/phone call with an average of 3-4 callback hours depending on surgical cases
  • EMR/Documentation system is Epic
  • Facility is not a trauma center designation
  • 1 provider needed for this coverage period
  • Credentialing timeframe is approximately 1 month; temporary privileges may be available for the right candidate given the short notice
  • Active Virginia medical license required with clean background - no malpractice or license issues, no exceptions
  • Board Certification in General Surgery required
  • ACLS certification required
  • Self-Query NPDB report must be dated within 30 days of the presentation date
  • Approved travel reimbursements include airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage at IRS rate

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
